We were recently invited to experience the Greenhouses at Daniel’s Vineyard, located at 9061 N 700 W in McCordsville, Indiana — and honestly, this might be one of the most underrated winery experiences near Indianapolis.
If you’ve been thinking about booking one of their private greenhouses, you’re still on time. And trust me, it’s worth it.
Tucked away in McCordsville, Daniel’s Vineyard feels like a peaceful escape from the city. The heated greenhouses create a cozy, intimate atmosphere that makes the entire experience feel elevated but still relaxed. It’s warm, romantic, and thoughtfully designed — perfect for slowing down and enjoying the moment.
A Hidden Gem Winery Near Indianapolis
We started our experience with a charcuterie board, and everything was absolutely delicious. The combination of cheeses, cured meats, and pairings complemented the wine beautifully.
And let’s talk about the wine — every single one we tried was incredible. From smooth reds to crisp whites, you can truly taste the craftsmanship behind each bottle. If you’re searching for a winery near Indianapolis that delivers both quality wine and ambiance, Daniel’s Vineyard absolutely delivers.
Now onto the pizzas — and yes, they were just as impressive.
We tried the Cellar Club BBQ, made with BBQ sauce, spicy BBQ mozzarella, pepperoni, jalapeños, and goat cheese. The sweet and spicy balance was perfect, and the goat cheese added such a bold finish.
The Maiz pizza was one of the most unique flavors. It featured roasted mozzarella, sweet corn, cotija cheese, cayenne, chicken, and was topped with aioli. It had that smoky, slightly spicy flavor that pairs beautifully with a glass of wine.
We also had the Green Carne, loaded with mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, ham, and bacon — a meat lover’s dream with a rich, savory bite.
And of course, the classic Margherita Sweet Tomato with sauce, extra virgin olive oil, fresh mozzarella, sea salt, and basil. Simple, fresh, and perfectly balanced.
Each pizza felt thoughtfully crafted and elevated — not your average winery food menu.
Of course, no visit to Daniel’s Vineyard in McCordsville is complete without truly exploring the wine.
We ordered a bottle of Moscato and a bottle of Circle City White, and both delivered completely different but equally enjoyable experiences. The Moscato was light, sweet, and refreshing — perfect if you enjoy fruity, easy-drinking wines. It paired beautifully with the charcuterie board and made the whole greenhouse experience feel even more relaxed.
The Circle City White, on the other hand, had a smoother, slightly drier finish with a more structured profile. It felt balanced and elegant — the kind of wine you can sip slowly while enjoying conversation and vineyard views.
We also created our own self-guided 4-wine flight ($14), which I highly recommend if you want to explore different styles in one sitting. For our sweet and fruity picks, we tried Traminette and Lakeside Sangria, both vibrant and refreshing with bright flavor notes. For the dry and bold selections, we went with Verdejo and another pour of Circle City White, which really stood out for its clean finish and versatility.
What I love about the wine flight option is that it allows you to experience the range Daniel’s Vineyard offers — from sweet and approachable to dry and bold — all in one visit. Whether you’re new to wine tasting or already know your preferences, the flexibility makes it fun and interactive.
If you’re searching for a winery near Indianapolis that offers both quality wines and a customizable tasting experience, Daniel’s Vineyard absolutely delivers.
What I love most about this greenhouse experience is how versatile it is. It’s an ideal date night idea in Indiana, but also perfect for celebrating a birthday, planning a small gathering with friends, or simply enjoying a cozy night out.
The private greenhouse setup makes everything feel exclusive and intimate, while still being welcoming and relaxed.
If you’re looking for a hidden gem winery in McCordsville near Indianapolis, this is one to add to your list.
And yes — you’re still on time to experience it before the season end
