Last Friday, we had the chance to experience ZooBoo at the Indianapolis Zoo for the very first time, and it truly felt like stepping into a magical Halloween wonderland. The entire zoo was beautifully decorated with glowing pumpkins, spooky lights, and creative seasonal displays that made every corner come alive with festive energy.
The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful—families filled the paths, kids proudly showed off their adorable and creative costumes, and laughter echoed from every direction. It was heartwarming to see everyone enjoying the spirit of Halloween surrounded by animals and nature.
One of our favorite highlights of the evening was the Adult Trick-or-Treat Trail, presented by Zink Distributing Co. This fun addition runs every Friday and Saturday from 5 to 8 PM, offering adults (21+) the chance to enjoy free samples of alcoholic beverages along the trail. The best part? The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, making it an ideal evening to sip, stroll, and enjoy the spooky setup under clear autumn skies.
Of course, the kids had their share of fun too—there were plenty of treats, photo opportunities, and Halloween activities spread throughout the zoo. From pumpkin-themed decorations to playful animal encounters, ZooBoo truly knows how to combine the charm of fall with family-friendly excitement.
If you haven’t been yet, there’s still time! ZooBoo continues through November 2, 2025, so grab your costumes and plan your visit before this seasonal celebration disappears for another year.
