Are you ready to get SPOOKED? 🎃☕
If you’re looking for a unique spot in Indy to kick off the Halloween season, Black House Café in Fountain Square is the place to be.
We stopped by last Sunday to get into the spooky spirit early, and let’s just say—it did not disappoint. From the moment you walk in, the dark and eerie atmosphere sets the tone. With creepy décor, horror movie references scattered everywhere, and even a life-size Chucky doll watching over you, this coffee shop feels like stepping straight into a scary movie set.
Of course, we came for the coffee—and it was spot on. We tried an Iced Mocha Latte and one of their carnival menu specials, The Pennyhouse. Both were delicious, smooth, and perfectly crafted. Although we arrived a little late (so no bakery items were left), they normally serve pastries and even empanadas. Pro tip: go earlier in the day if you want to snag something sweet!
What makes Black House even cooler is the mini art gallery tucked inside. You can actually browse and buy horror-themed artwork created by local artists. It’s a unique touch that really makes the café feel like a hidden gem.
If you’re a fan of coffee, horror, or just looking for something totally different in Indy, Black House Café is a must-visit. Whether you want to sip your latte under the gaze of horror icons or shop for spooky art, this place is guaranteed to get you in the Halloween mood.
