At We Like Indy, we’re always on the hunt for those hidden gems that make our city extra special—and Filigree Bakery is one of them. Tucked in the charming Meridian-Kessler neighborhood, this boutique bakery at 6331 Carrollton Ave is the kind of place dessert lovers dream about. We stopped by recently, and after one visit, we’re already obsessed (and we think you will be too).
First off, Filigree Bakery is proudly minority and woman-owned, and you can feel that passion in every bite. They specialize in French macarons, custom cakes, and gourmet desserts that not only taste incredible but are truly works of art. You’ll also find them supporting the local scene at markets, pop-ups, and events all over Indianapolis.

Walking into Filigree Bakery feels like stepping into a cozy Parisian café, with a modern Indy twist. The display case was packed with colorful macarons, delicate cakes, and other tempting treats. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming—ready to help us choose the perfect box.
As self-declared dessert fanatics, we sampled several macarons beyond the Finals collection. The pistachio macaron had a perfectly crisp shell with a luscious, nutty filling, while the lemon macaron was bright, zesty, and refreshing. The vanilla bean was rich and classic, and the orange crème had a lovely citrus burst.
But it wasn’t just macarons—Filigree offers custom cakes that would be showstoppers at any event. We saw a few in progress during our visit and were seriously tempted to plan a celebration just for the excuse to order one.
