Eiteljorg Indian Market & Festival: What to Know Before You Go

Looking for a vibrant, family-friendly summer event that celebrates culture, creativity, and community? Mark your calendars for one of Indianapolis’ most iconic cultural festivals: the Indian Market & Festival at the Eiteljorg Museum, happening this June in downtown Indy!

This beloved annual event is a unique celebration of American Indian, First Nations, and Alaskan Native cultures, bringing together over 150 Indigenous artists from across the U.S. and Canada. Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a culture lover, or simply curious, you’ll find something special here—from handcrafted jewelry, pottery, and beadworkto paintings, sculpture, and more.

Art, Music, Dance, and Storytelling

The market isn’t just about shopping (although trust us, the art is incredible). You’ll also experience live cultural performances throughout the day, including traditional dance, music, and storytelling that honor the rich and diverse traditions of Indigenous communities.

There’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy, too. Kids can participate in hands-on art activities, and everyone will want to grab a bite of fry bread or other delicious dishes from local food vendors. (Yes, it’s as tasty as it sounds.)

Come Early for the Market Morning Breakfast

Want early access to the art and a delicious breakfast with fellow supporters? Don’t miss the Market Morning Breakfast, an exclusive event where you’ll enjoy a meal and get first dibs on shopping before the gates open. Tickets are $50 for members and $60 for non-members—make sure to reserve by June 20!
