This past Thursday, we were invited by Indy Ignite to experience a home match at the Fishers Event Center, and from the moment we walked in, the energy was electric. The matchup against Atlanta Vibe felt less like a regular game and more like a full entertainment experience designed for the whole community.
The arena was packed with excitement. High-energy music kept the crowd engaged between plays, fans were cheering loudly from every section, and the overall vibe was fun, welcoming, and full of emotion. Whether you’re a longtime volleyball fan or attending your first match, the atmosphere makes it easy to get hooked from the very first serve.
One of the most memorable parts of the night was Pepper, Indy Ignite’s mascot. Pepper was everywhere — dancing, hyping up the crowd, and stopping for photos with fans of all ages. It added such a joyful and playful element to the game and really highlighted how family-friendly and community-focused Indy Ignite events are.
No sports night is complete without good food, and this one delivered. We tried the Bubly Cocktail by Shake Up — Spiked Peach — and it was super good, refreshing, and perfect for game night. We also went with a classic hot dog and a warm pretzel with cheese, and both were delicious. Simple, comforting, and exactly what you want while cheering from the stands.
Beyond the fun, this experience reminded us how important it is to support women’s professional sports in Indiana. The level of play was impressive, the competition intense, and the pride in this team was felt throughout the arena. Indy Ignite represents talent, dedication, and the continued growth of women’s volleyball at a professional level.
