If there’s one place that never disappoints year after year, it’s the Indiana Repertory Theatre.
We’ve been lucky enough to be invited to experience their shows every season, and honestly, it’s always one of those experiences that reminds us why live theatre still hits different. There’s something about sitting in that space, watching stories unfold right in front of you, that you just can’t replace.
And now… they’ve officially announced their 2026–2027 season, and it’s shaping up to be one of their most exciting lineups yet.
The upcoming season will run from September 2026 through May 2027, bringing a mix of iconic stories, meaningful productions, and that signature IRT quality we’ve come to love.
What we really appreciate about IRT is how they balance everything so well — something classic, something new, something emotional, and something just purely fun. It’s the kind of lineup that makes theatre feel accessible whether it’s your first show or your yearly tradition.
One of the things we love most about coming to the Indiana Repertory Theatre every year is that no two seasons ever feel the same.
There’s always that mix of stories that pull you in — some familiar, some completely new — but all of them feel thoughtfully selected. And this year is no exception.
Here’s what’s coming for the 2026–2027 season:
From a high-energy musical like Guys and Dolls to the holiday magic of A Christmas Carol, and even a mystery like The Da Vinci Code, this lineup really covers it all.
And if you’re anything like us, you’ll probably end up picking more than just one show.
If you’re looking for something different to do in Indianapolis, this is it.
A night at IRT is more than just a show — it’s a full experience:
It’s one of the best ways to slow down, disconnect a bit, and reconnect with the city.
Season packages and tickets are starting to roll out, and from experience… the best seats don’t last long.
If you’ve been thinking about going — or even if it’s your first time — this is honestly the perfect season to start.
Trust us, this is one of those experiences you’ll be glad you didn’t miss.
