Mochi Joy Fishers: Hawaiian-Style Mochi Donuts and Coffee Shop

From the VFW to Fishers

When We Like Indy first began, one of our very first reviews was at Mochi Joy back when they were serving out of the VFW in Noblesville. We instantly fell in love with their Hawaiian-style mochi donuts—chewy, soft on the inside, crisp on the outside, and full of joy in every bite.

Fast forward to today, Mochi Joy has grown into an incredible new location in Fishers at 8664 E 96th Street. Walking into their shop now feels like watching a dream come true—not just for them, but for everyone who has supported their journey along the way.

A Space That Feels Like Home

Their new spot is more than just a donut shop—it’s a community space. The shop is cozy, spacious, and beautifully designed, with plenty of seating to work, study, or catch up with friends. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a coffee, settle in with your laptop, or simply enjoy a sweet moment of pause in your day.

And beyond donuts and coffee, Mochi Joy has added a marketplace featuring local entrepreneurs, from books to handmade goods. It’s a place that celebrates creativity and the local spirit of Indiana.

Donuts That Made Us Fall in Love All Over Again

Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying a spread of their signature donuts. This time we had:

  • Pumpkin Pancake – pumpkin glaze with breakfast syrup buttercream, basically fall in a donut.

  • Taro Unicorn – the magical purple donut, sweet and vanilla-like with a starchy twist.

  • Strawberry Funnel Cake – a trip back to state fairs, with strawberry glaze and powdered sugar.

  • Chocolate Sprinkles – the classic that makes every chocolate lover smile.

Each bite reminded us why Mochi Joy has always been special—the flavors are playful, nostalgic, and full of heart.

Fall Flavors in a Cup

To pair with the donuts, we tried their seasonal Maple Apple Crisp Latte. Cozy, sweet, and perfectly spiced, it’s the kind of drink that instantly gives you fall vibes. Mochi Joy has expanded into coffee beautifully, and their seasonal menu is the perfect complement to their donuts.

Community Events & New Flavors

What’s even cooler about Mochi Joy’s new space is that it’s filled with greenery and plants, giving the shop a warm and refreshing vibe that makes you want to stay even longer.  Beyond donuts and coffee, they’re also bringing the community together with fun upcoming events this fall. Mark your calendar for Epicurean Indy on Sunday, October 5th (11 am–3 pm at McCarty Street in Fletcher Place), the Autumn Tidings Fall Festival on October 18th (1 pm at Mono 30, 1118 E 30th Street), and a Local Authors Meetup right inside Mochi Joy on November 1st (11 am–1 pm).

And while we couldn’t try it this time, our next stop will definitely be their newest creation: the Apple Pie Mochi Puff —a chewy puff filled with homemade apple pie goodness, dusted with cinnamon sugar. Paired with a Crisp Appleade or a warm Maple Apple Crisp Latte, it’s pure fall magic waiting to happen.

Why We’ll Keep Coming Back

Seeing how Mochi Joy has grown from the VFW in Noblesville to this beautiful Fishers location is truly inspiring. It’s more than donuts—it’s about building a community, supporting local makers, and sharing joy with every customer who walks in.

If you haven’t yet, make sure to stop by Mochi Joy in Fishers. Try the donuts, sip on a latte, and soak in the atmosphere. You’ll walk away with more than just a treat—you’ll leave with joy.
