There’s something magical about stepping into the Indiana Repertory Theatre during the holidays. We recently had the chance to watch A Christmas Carol—and let us tell you, it was nothing short of enchanting.
From the moment the curtains rose, we were transported into Charles Dickens’ timeless world. The stunning set design brought Victorian London to life, from the cold, cobblestone streets to the warm glow of holiday gatherings. The cast, led by an outstanding portrayal of Ebenezer Scrooge, delivered performances so heartfelt and captivating that we couldn’t help but feel completely immersed in the story.
What makes this adaptation, by Tom Haas, so special is its ability to balance tradition with fresh energy. The storytelling felt intimate and personal, while the songs and musical elements added an uplifting charm to the production. We laughed, teared up, and left the theatre with our hearts warmed by the message of kindness, compassion, and second chances.
