The Brickyard Weekend officially came to life Saturday as Carson Kvapil celebrated the biggest win of his career, while fans at Indianapolis Motor Speedway enjoyed a full day of racing, garage access, qualifying sessions, and unforgettable moments on and off the track.
There’s something special about spending a race day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. From the moment the gates open, the energy feels different. Fans fill the garages, drivers prepare for one of NASCAR’s most iconic weekends, and every corner of the Speedway reminds you why this place is known as the Racing Capital of the World.
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to experience the Pennzoil 250 presented by Take 5 Oil Change from inside the action, and it turned into one of the most memorable Saturdays of Brickyard Weekend.
An Emotional First Victory for Carson Kvapil
The biggest story of the day belonged to Carson Kvapil, who earned his first-ever NASCAR Xfinity Series victory in spectacular fashion.
Driving the No. 1 JR Motorsports Chevrolet, the 23-year-old held off veteran teammate Justin Allgaier during the closing laps to take the checkered flag at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
As soon as the race ended, the emotion was impossible to miss. Kvapil climbed from his car, dove into the arms of his crew, and celebrated a career-defining victory at one of the most legendary racetracks in the world.
For NASCAR fans, it was a moment years in the making.
A Historic Day for JR Motorsports
Saturday wasn’t just about one driver.
JR Motorsports completely dominated the race by finishing first, second, third, and fourth, becoming the first team in NASCAR Xfinity Series history to sweep the top four finishing positions in a single race.

Brickyard 400 Qualifying Sets Up an Exciting Sunday
After the Pennzoil 250, attention quickly shifted to qualifying for Sunday’s Brickyard 400 presented by PPG.
One of the biggest surprises came from Spire Motorsports, which locked out the entire front row.
Carson Hocevar earned the pole position with a lap of 186.598 mph, while teammate Daniel Suárez qualified second, giving Chevrolet a strong start heading into Sunday’s race.
