Finding a place that serves fresh, flavorful food without feeling like another fast-food sandwich shop isn’t always easy. That’s exactly why our visit to West Coast Sourdough in Zionsville stood out.
From the moment our food arrived, we could tell everything was prepared fresh. The portions were generous, the ingredients looked vibrant, and after trying nearly every category on the menu, we left already talking about what we’d order on our next visit.
West Coast Sourdough is known for its handcrafted sandwiches served on freshly baked sourdough bread, so naturally we had to try two customer favorites.
The Italian was packed with flavor, loaded with premium meats, cheese, crisp vegetables, and served on perfectly toasted sourdough bread that added just the right amount of crunch.
The Grilled Chicken Pesto was equally impressive. The chicken was juicy, the pesto added a fresh herb flavor without overpowering the sandwich, and together it created one of those combinations that simply works.
If you’re a sandwich lover, it’s hard to go wrong with either one.
The Broccoli & Cheese Soup Stole the Show
Out of everything we tried, one item instantly became our favorite.
The Broccoli & Cheese Soup.
Rich, creamy, comforting, and incredibly flavorful, it’s the kind of soup that makes you want to come back just for another bowl. It paired perfectly with the sandwiches and easily became the highlight of our meal.
We also tried the Mac & Cheese, another comforting option with a creamy texture that makes it perfect for anyone craving classic comfort food.
Salads That Are Much Bigger Than Expected
We weren’t expecting the salads to be so generous.
Both the Grilled Chicken Caesar and the Cobb Salad arrived loaded with fresh ingredients and large enough to enjoy as a complete meal. If you’re looking for something lighter without sacrificing portion size, these are excellent choices.
No visit feels complete without dessert.
We finished with the Chocolate Chip Cookie and the Lemon White Chip Cookie, and both were soft, fresh, and baked just right. The lemon cookie offered a refreshing twist that we especially enjoyed.
A Great Option Any Time of Day
One thing we really liked about West Coast Sourdough is how versatile it is.
Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch during the workday, a casual dinner with family, something comforting after work, or simply a fresh meal to take home, the menu offers plenty of options without feeling overwhelming.
Between the sandwiches, homemade soups, fresh salads, and baked cookies, it’s the kind of place that’s easy to add to your regular restaurant rotation.
If we had to recommend one combination, we’d choose the Grilled Chicken Pesto paired with the Broccoli & Cheese Soup. That ended up being our favorite meal of the visit.
