We recently stopped by for lunch, and from the first bite, it was easy to see why so many people keep coming back. We decided to try a little bit of everything, and every dish showed the care that goes into Fayrouz’s menu. We started with the hummus, and it quickly became one of our favorite items of the entire meal. It was incredibly smooth, perfectly creamy, and balanced with just the right amount of tahini, lemon, garlic, and olive oil. Served with warm pita, it’s the kind of appetizer you could easily order every time you visit.
Next came the falafel, which was crispy on the outside and soft inside with fresh herbs and spices in every bite. The kibbeh had a perfectly crunchy exterior filled with seasoned ground beef and bulgur wheat, while the spanakopita delivered flaky layers of pastry filled with spinach, cheese, and herbs. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and full of authentic Mediterranean flavors without feeling overly heavy.
The highlight of our visit, however, was the Arabic Style Chicken Shawarma. Wrapped in a toasted tortilla with juicy chicken, garlic sauce, and pickles, every bite was flavorful, satisfying, and perfectly balanced. Sometimes the simplest dishes are the hardest to perfect, and Fayrouz absolutely delivers. Honestly, this might be our favorite place to enjoy shawarma in Indiana.
We couldn’t leave without trying dessert, so we finished our meal with the Dubai Chocolate Cake. Rich, decadent, and perfectly sweet, it was the ideal ending to an already incredible lunch.
