If you love art, Penrod Arts Fair is definitely one to have on your September calendar.
The 59th Annual Penrod Arts Fair is happening Saturday, September 12 at Newfields, bringing more than 350 artists together for one day. There’s also live music, food, drinks and different areas to explore throughout the grounds.
We went to Penrod last year and really enjoyed it. We both love art, so for us the best part was simply taking our time walking around and seeing the work from so many different artists in one place. We found paintings, photography, ceramics, jewelry and plenty of things we weren’t expecting to see. We stopped at the booths that caught our attention, talked with some of the artists and, of course, took a lot of photos along the way.
It’s also what we liked about the experience. You can really make the day whatever you want it to be. Spend your time looking for something to take home, grab some food, stop for live music or just walk around Newfields and see what you find.
For 2026, Penrod will once again have hundreds of artists throughout the grounds, along with performers across five stages. There’s also a Children’s Area with activities and entertainment if you’re bringing the family.
If this is your first Penrod, our biggest recommendation is to give yourself time. There’s a lot to see, and part of the fun for us was not having a plan for every stop. We just walked around and discovered things as we went.
