Last Saturday, we were at the heart of one of the most exciting moments of the year in Indianapolis—the Sonsio Grand Prix at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway. And honestly, this is where the Month of May truly begins to feel real.

From the moment we walked into the track, the energy was different. Packed grandstands, engines warming up, fans everywhere—and that feeling that something big is about to happen. This is not just a race. This is Indy culture.

A Race Full of Chaos, Strategy & Big Moments

This year’s race delivered everything you want from INDYCAR—intensity, strategy, and unexpected turns from the very first lap. Early on, a major chain-reaction crash in Turn 1 shook up the field and forced teams into quick decisions that would define the rest of the race.

The 85-lap battle on the IMS road course turned into a strategic game, with pit stops, tire choices, and timing playing a huge role. Multiple cautions kept things unpredictable, and no lead ever felt safe.

Christian Lundgaard Takes the Win

At the center of it all was Christian Lundgaard, who delivered an incredible performance to take the win.

Driving for Arrow McLaren, Lundgaard made a decisive move on Lap 68, pulling off a bold pass for the lead and never looking back. He crossed the finish line with a strong gap, securing his first INDYCAR win in nearly three years and ending a long drought.

Right behind him, David Malukas finished second after leading the most laps of the race, while Graham Rahal completed the podium.

A Strong Field and Big Names

The grid was stacked this year. Drivers like Josef Newgarden and Alex Palou were right in the mix, with Palou entering the race as a favorite after dominating earlier sessions.

Even with a strong start, strategy setbacks pushed some top contenders back in the field, proving once again how unpredictable this race can be.

Our Experience at the Track

Being there in person just hits different.

Hearing the engines echo across the speedway. Watching pit crews move with precision. Seeing fans fully locked in every lap. There’s something about the IndyCar Series that feels raw, fast, and real.

We spent time walking around, capturing content, talking to fans, and just taking in the atmosphere. Everywhere you look, there’s excitement—whether it’s longtime racing fans or people experiencing their first race in Indy.

And that’s what makes this event so special. It brings everyone together.

The Start of Something Bigger

The Sonsio Grand Prix isn’t just another race—it’s the official kickoff to the most iconic time of the year in Indianapolis.

With the Indianapolis 500 right around the corner, this race sets the tone for everything that follows.

If you’ve never experienced May in Indy, this is your sign. Start here. Because once you feel it… you’ll want to come back every year.
